
Independence Community Foundation recognizes that cultural and educational institutions create positive change in communities. The Foundation provides program and project support to institutions that seek to bolster economic and social development, and act as stabilizing forces in their communities.
Examples of eligible education projects and programs include those that:
- Expand access to skills training, literacy programs, after school opportunities, and higher education
- Improve the physical learning environment, including buildings and equipment
Examples of eligible arts and culture projects or programs include those that:
- Expand the capacity of local institutions to present visual and performing arts to new audiences
- Increase community access to the arts by supporting local arts organizations
- Expand the opportunity for arts education for young people and adults
ICF does not provide direct support to individual artists.
