ICF makes grants on a competitive basis to nonprofit organizations for programs and projects that fall within our grant programs and are located within the Foundation’s geographic giving area. ICF advances its community development mission by responding to a broad range of needs and issues identified locally.
Foundation grants are made in four broad programs:
Neighborhood Renewal
Education, Culture and Arts
Community Quality of Life
Small Grant Program
ICF favors organizations that effectively leverage other resources, providing funds to groups that work closely with other nonprofit organizations as well as with the public and private sectors. Priority is also given to programs or projects that demonstrate a high level of community involvement and benefit from dynamic and creative leadership.
The Foundation will consider proposals for program, capacity building, capital project, or operating support. In addition to meeting other eligibility requirements, successful applicants must demonstrate that the Foundation’s funds will be allocated in such a way as to further or enhance an organization’s mission, its program quality, the efficiency of its operations, and/or access to its services.
We do not fund individuals, make political contributions, or provide funding for religious purposes. We also do not purchase tickets for dinners, golf outings, or similar fundraising events.
Please read our How to Apply page for your options for submitting a grant request.
