Grant making to neighborhood nonprofit community development and human service organizations forms the core of ICF’s Neighborhood Renewal program.

Examples of eligible projects and programs include:

  • Pre-development and planning grants to convert blighted and vacant properties into affordable housing, commercial uses, open space and/or community facilities
  • Workforce development and entrepreneurial training/technical assistance programs
  • Community-based enterprise projects or programs
  • Support for high-quality early childhood development programs and community-based social and human services

Proposals should describe specific outcomes, such as the creation of affordable housing, formation of new local businesses, increased community employment or wages, greater access and/or improvements to local services, etc.
