Project related investments are not grants. PRIs include financing methods commonly associated with banks or other private investors, such as loans, loan guarantees, linked deposits, and equity investments in charitable organizations. Independence Community Foundation makes PRIs for selected projects that are closely related to our grant making programs. For the recipient, the benefit is access to capital at lower rates than may be otherwise available.
Independence Community Foundation does not accept unsolicited proposals for PRIs. Current grantees may contact an appropriate member of the ICFstaff for additional information about PRIs.
